The Alvord Hotsprings, a local favorite is easily accessed from Denio Nevada, north
on Nevada 292/Oregon 205 from Winnemuca Nevada on Interstate 80. Only 150 feet off a BLM dirt road, the hotsprings is partially improved. Two large bathing areas, one warm and one hot. Temperature can be controlled by by wooden plugs as the pools are fed by 20 foot pipes from the diverted hot spring. The local soakers do a great job keeping the area clean. Please, if you use this spring, LEAVE THE SPRING CLEANER THAN YOU FOUND IT! |
